Cervical cancer was once the leading cause of cancer death for women in the United States. Now, thanks to better accessibility to both cervical cancer screening and the HPV vaccine, we are seeing a fall in cancer rates globally. However, more work is needed to be done to ensure better health equity, especially in the US.
